Gameplan:
-Hold on to a single Battlefield quickly to use the Hide/Reveal a spider every turn.
-Get your spiders Mighty as soon as possible to draw at least 4 cards (with the Trifarian War Camp might boost) with every Show of Strength
-Once your Spiders are Mighty, play as many Show of Strength from hand and with Fizz as possible.
-Use On the Hunt/Gank to move spiders when the opportunity comes up. Don't do it too soon, losing spiders sets you back.
-Use the gold you generate with your Legend's ability to not destroy your curve.
-In priority order, use: Gold Tokens, Orange runes (if you have 2 or more), then purple runes to hide your spiders.
-Keep at least 1 Orange rune in play to use it for Show of Strength
Battlefields:
-Grove of the God-Willow is the best battlefield for the deck. Your cards are very cheap and it helps with preventing the empty hand that comes with that archetype. Plus Spiders are master Holders.
-Trifarian War Camp helps to get your spiders mighty even faster for Show of Strengths.
-Windswept Hillock does pretty much the same thing as On the Hunt, securing a big spider rush from one field to the other which can result in a game ending situation.
***(The Grand Plaza is a trap. Windswept Hillock is much more versatile in this deck, Plaza doesn't allow you to make early plays and by the time you have 7+spiders, you're pretty much already winning the round anyways so.. why bother with the battlefield effect? a Gank at 7 spiders is still very strong, but also good at 2,3,4,5... the only cons is that your opponnent can also use it but.. just be careful with that and... voilà? just the better battlefield overall.)***
Mulligan:
in Priority order, keep/look for;
1x 2-cost unit (Overzealous is your best turn 1 when first to go, Legion Marauder when 2nd to go)
1x Gust
1x Spider
everything else can go, you'll draw your whole deck in 5turns anyway.
Game start if you are:
First to go:
Turn 1:
Play your 2-cost unit (Preferably Overzealous to give you more time to stack your spiders on turn 2 and over)
Turn 2:
Conquer your own Battlefield with your 2-cost unit and play a Spider on it. You should also Hide one if you have another in hand. On their turn, Gust their unit if they try to get your spider(s).
Turn 3 and over:
Hold your Battlefield, play a maximum amount of spiders each turn to get them mighty as soon as possible and draw like crazy.
Second to go:
Turn 1:
Play your 2-cost unit (preferably Legion Marauder, which you can Empower by tapping 1 if they don't have a unit in play)
On their turn, gust their ready unit if they want to conquer the battlefield you wanted unless you are sure to be able to conquer it right back.
Turn 2:
Conquer with your 2-cost unit, play a Spider and you have 2 extra runes to use as you please.
Turn 3 and over:
Hold your Battlefield, play a maximum amount of spiders each turn to get them mighty as soon as possible to draw like crazy with Show of Strength.
Sideboard general idea:
Sabotage and Hard Bargain to negate the big bang spells (Downwell, Ruination, Unchecked Power, etc.)
Bone Skewers if they have significant threatening units (eg.: Green Vilemaw, Orange Warwick, Blitzcrank, etc.)
**Sabotage and Bone Skewer also synergise very well with Invert Timelines if you see major threats**
Vex to keep ambushes/accelerates in check
Acceptable Losses for Gear relying decks (Aurora, Hook, Ornn, Jayce, etc.)
