Use gust to slow enemy tempo, assist with retakes, and to save allied units when they're expected to be cleared.
Drop Sona as early as possible after developing "Vex, Apathetic" to be prepared for negative might spells and kill spells. Also for having runes for cheap stun spells.

You can inevitably control a 2 drop unit and a 4 drop unit, in which case you either place "Vex, Cheerless" when you expect a showdown with long chains, or "Ahri, Alluring" when you expect to share both battlefields.
Games in which you are 1 point behind each turn, your gameplan is to prepare for "Ahri, Alluring" for future turns to tip the scales.
Be aggressive by placing units of battlefields and hiding back off's in the same turn.
Match-ups in which the enemy is more unit-based than spell-based, side in gust and rubuke to make the count 3x, 3x.
Match-ups in which the enemy allows you to control one battlefield to control the other, side in Emperor's Divide to attempt a retake.
Match-ups that include equipment and Dazzling Aurora, always aim to side Disarming Rake
Match-ups that include expensive spells such as Unchecked Power or Singularity, aim to side in Hard Bargain if you believe you can find space.
Token match-ups may be difficult because of Imperial Decree, aim to side Emperor's Divide and Hard Bargain to save your units from Bellows Breath
If you expect a Cull the Weak to be played against you, drop units aggressively.
In the mirror match-up, forcing "Vex, Cheerless" combats before your opponent can get it down is crucial, prioritize defy for charm.
1x Ride the Wind for late game points or to force "Vex, Cheerless" combats
No Vilemaw is run as to prioritize runes for return spells such as Star-crossed, Rebuke, and Existential dread.
