Lucian is a Body/Fury equipment aggro deck built to make its attackers hit harder than their cost suggests. Every Equipment you control grants Assault, so gear provides additional Might whenever its unit attacks. The goal is to establish efficient threats, equip them and keep converting combat advantages into points.
Early game: Develop cheap units and start upgrading them with Doran’s Blade and Long Sword. Doran’s Blade already gives +2 Might, and Lucian adds another point while its carrier is attacking, making even small units credible threats.
Mid game: First Mate can ready another unit to create an additional attack, while Punch First provides a massive +5 Might swing for only 1 Energy when a showdown needs to be won. Kai’Sa, Survivor adds another source of pressure and can draw a card whenever she conquers.
Relentless Pursuit creates one of the deck’s strongest tempo plays: move a unit, attach an Equipment to it, then potentially send it back to base after it conquers. Lucian, Merciless works especially well with this style, equipping efficiently through Weaponmaster and readying himself after his first conquest each turn.
Late game: Keep forcing favorable attacks with combat tricks and removal rather than trying to build one untouchable unit. Falling Star clears important defenders, while Ferrous Forerunner gives the deck a large threat that leaves two additional bodies behind when it dies. The main weakness remains concentrated removal: losing an equipped attacker can cost both tempo and multiple cards at once.
